Planning a Cathedral Rock engagement session

A location name does not tell us everything about a session. Before choosing a meeting spot, we will talk about your comfort with walking, your schedule, and what you are hoping for. We can then work out an approach that suits you, rather than assuming every couple wants the same route or experience.

I also like to know whether your photographs have a specific purpose. If you are choosing images for wedding invitations or a save-the-date, share that with me. If you simply want photographs of this season together, that is a lovely reason to plan a session too.

Preparing for your Sedona engagement photos

Bring clothing that feels like you and is comfortable for the plan we have made. Footwear deserves some thought, especially for an outdoor location. Let me know if you are considering a change of clothes so we can allow time for it without making the session feel rushed. We can also discuss any accessibility needs while choosing the meeting location.

Once we are photographing, I will help with direction. You do not need to know exactly where to put your hands or spend the session trying to copy another couple’s gallery. Your own connection is what makes the photographs personal, and there is room to relax into that.
