Years from now, I want you to look through your gallery and remember how the day actually felt–the people, the nerves, the laughter, and all the little moments you were too busy living to notice.

When I'm not out photographing love stories, life usually involves my husband, Daniel, our cat, Taco, and some kind of creative project. I spend a lot of time covered in clay at the pottery studio, working on our little vineyard in Clarkdale, or loading up the 4Runner to explore somewhere new.

Travel has also been a huge part of my life. I've visited 41 countries, met incredible people, and learned that the moments we remember usually have very little to do with everything going perfectly. They're the unexpected conversations, the shared meals, the wrong turns, and the people who made us feel at home.

I think that's part of why I love weddings so much. Every day brings together a place, a group of people, and a story that will never happen in quite the same way again. I get to pay attention to it–and that still feels pretty incredible.

I believe you should feel just as cared for as the photographs themselves.
